So it’s a new year! This, for us, means 365 chances of rocking adventures and new discoveries. Not all of you may know, but we love to explore new places and try different things and food. And with this, a crazy idea came to us to start our own blog of travel, food and fitness. We’re really not good writers, but we’ll try. :)
On New Year's Day, while most were out of the country or out of town enjoying the festivities of the holidays, our family just stayed home for the day and decided to eat out for dinner. Most of the restaurants were closed on the 1st so it was good that we stumbled upon The Burgery along Aguirre Avenue, BF Homes. One of our friends posted food shots from this place, and since none of us have actually tried it there yet, it was something new for us.
It was a quaint place, which can accommodate around 30 people (20 people inside). Good thing the couch seats weren't taken when we arrived so we immediately propped ourselves in that area. The interiors were minimal with dim lights and modern furniture, and on the walls were photos of their top food picks.
They serve burgers (daaaahhh!), wings, pasta, rice meals, sausages & sandwiches and the usual appetizers.
We started off with Frankie Carbo and Celeste. We loved Frankie Carbo! The cheese was everywhere, and there was enough chili con carne for the wedges. If we had to choose among the two, we'd recommend that you start off with this pick since it matches their burgers more.
For burgers, they had around 8 regular and 3 premium burgers to choose from. Big Al, Fat Tony and Machine Gun didn’t disappoint. The bun is just the right size for the 1/3 lbs. 100% pure beef patty. Asiong Salonga, though we really liked the name, wasn’t a favorite during this trip.
What surprised us was their Crispy Chili Garlic Bacon. If you’re up for ordering a rice meal at a burger joint, we think this would be the one. We liked how the bacon was cooked to a crisp with chili garlic sauce, and the herbed rice was amazing. Two thumbs up!
Definitely, this is a go-to place for burger lovers. Their burgers may not be comparable to Zark’s or Charbroiled Burgers, but what differentiates The Burgery with these 2 other burger joints in BF Homes is its ambience. We will certainly go back! :)
Average price per person: P200-P250
Important add-on: They serve beer at P45. Woot woot!
